Q. How do I set up my computer to automatically open Traveljargon.org when I go onto the internet?
A. Click up the "Link to us" tab at the top of any page on the site. You then have the option to select the site as your internet home page (ie opens automatically when you open your browser) or as a one of your home page tabs. 
 
 
Q. Why Register?
A. You need to quickly register to be able to share your knowledge by adding/amending entries. It takes just a couple of minutes to add your name, email, password, company and where you're based. After you hit the REGISTER button you'll immediately be sent an email - just click on the link in that email and your registration will be completed and you're ready to go! 
 
 
Q. How do I add/update/amend and entry?
A. 

Before you can add/update/amend an entry you need to quickly register. Once you've done that just following the instruction: 

  1. Sign in
  2. Click - add jargon/association or amend jargon/association from the home page 
  3. Select the correct process you want to take and then
  4. add your Word/Phrase/Acronym, the meaning (Association name) and category. If you're adding an association you can also add the website URL to add a direct link from the results page.  All entries are assumed to have global meaning/membership but if this is not the case then select the appropriate country/region flag.
  5. Submit your entry.
 
 
Q. How do I add an entry for more than one category?
A. Entries need to be added one category/country/region at a time.  To add and entry that relates to numerous categories/countries/regions either enter the data repeatedly selecting the appropriate category/country/region etc. each time or alternatively you can send the information to us using the contact us form and we'll happily add it for you. 
 
 
Q. I've got a database of information that could be added to Traveljargon but I don't want to add the information bit by bit. What can I do?
A. If you've got a volume of information that you think others would find useful please get in touch with us at contact@traveljargon.org or use the form on the Contact Us page - Thanks, we look forward to hearing from you.
 
 
Q. Can I streamline my search for a particular sector?
A. Yes.  All searches for Jargon and Associations allow you to search not only on the Word/Phrase/Acronym, but also by selecting one of the sub-categories you can define your search further and reduce the results down to the industry sector you're looking for.
 
 
Q. How do I find, for example, all countries that speak a specific language, or use a specific currency?
A. Enter the keyword in the search field and then select the appropriate category from the dropdown list. For example search on the word "English" and select category "Language", or search on the word "Euro" and select category "Currency".
 
 
Q. How do I find the website for an association?
A. Easy - just click on the global icon to the right of the Association name and you'll be taken to the website. 
 
 
Q. Can I print out search results?
A. Yes - you can print out the page - there is a print button at the end of the page
 
 
Q. How do I know what country's flag is shown on the results page?
A. Simply 'mouse-over' the flag/graphic and all will be revealed!
 
 
Q. Someone's posted an entry that's offensive or against the sites policy - how can I get it removed.
A.
